Roadmap for eZ Publish 4.1 and 4.5 / Blog / Home - eZ Publish Developer/Specialist

A roadmap for the next eZ Publish releases is now available. eZ Publish 4.1, the next major release, will include the new Online Editor, as was previously mentioned in Community Newsletter #1/2008. The new Online Editor will have various enhancements regarding usability and the user interface, and will support Internet Explorer 7 for Windows Vista. eZ Publish 4.1 is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2008.

eZ Publish 4.0, which runs on PHP 5, provided a great performance increase compared to the eZ Publish 3.x series. However, eZ Publish 4.5, which is expected to be released during summer 2008, will have an even bigger performance boost due to a new template engine implementation that is part of the eZ Components library. eZ Publish 4.5 will also include a new workflow engine, which also utilizes eZ Components. The updated roadmap is a pretty ambitious release schedule. The past has proven that such predictions are often unreliable, but I hope 2008 brings a change :-)

The various SVN commits I've seen seem to point to http://svn.ez.no/svn/extensions/eztinymce/ as the repository for the new OE.

is there a public SVN for the future OE4 ? It would be fine to be able to test it during development.
